Spend the extra couple bucks and get a warn M8000. It's not a whole lot more, and that's a tough little winch for the price. You can find them for $499-$550 if you look hard or just wait until a deal is posted in the Vendor Showcase forum. :)

I have one. It broke. left me stuck. i had to inflict alot of body damage to my truck to get out. I called the company and they sent me the parts for free to fix it. And when i was spooling the cable back on one of the relays went out. now the winch only goes one direction. BUT I used it alot before it broke, and when it broke i was pulling to the side and the cable bound up. If you think you might only use it once or twice then buy it. If you plan to use the hell out of it don't waste you money.

Go to harbor frieght you can get the same thing with a different name for 275-300 bucks! It even comes with a winch plate. I wouldn't spend more than 300 bucks on a winch unless it's a warn.

I got my warn M8000 for $499 shipped to my door.

Looks like they raised the price to $529.00 shipped, but still a good deal. They shipped really quickly too.
