does anyone know if u can reuse the intake manfold gasket on an amc motor?

your not supposed to reuse it. It won't seal well.

if you wanna risk it...aka... no dough......u can.

as long as it's not really damaged-just a little flat.....
use a LITTLE silicone sealer. smear a little all the way around each port (coolant espec.) both sides /buy the good stuff.
DO NOT crank it down.
if you have the time, i would snug it up (barely) ONLY!
then give it a LITTLE snug extra. about 4-8 or more hrs later.
REMEMBER silicone helps-but will ALSO HELP squishing
the gasket OUT!!!!!

but is BIG TIME COOL if you know how to use it.

been there, did it a lot..........

well it is a metal gasket, its not like a chevy one, its all one piece to, like a built in windage tray, so i didn't know about usin it again

So I searched and searched and searched, this is what I found....


I bought a new gasket set for my 360, and it came with the valley pan and rubber boots for the front and back of the block to intake, problem is, do I need to RTV this metal gasket? is my intake gonna seal with just these rubber deals and metal pan? Seems kinda iffy, but then again, I'm no engineer.....
