I am wondering how to do this. I'm using a 420 2wd transmission with a divorced NP200 transfer case. My front axle diff. is on the passenger side. Any ideas?

I would nab a 205 from a ford then put the chevy one behind it, one advantage to this set-up would be that you shifter linkages would not interfere with eachother

First off thanks for your answer

Okay the ford would have the output to the drivers side & chevy to the passenger side. Would you leave the ford front output in the case and just let it hang or take it out? Or could you use to drive something like a hydraulic pump & winch?

If I did this with 2 chevys couldn't you remove the front output and cut off the front case??? Nothing wrong with your way but just thinking aloud.

I thought of using it to run a pump or something like you said.

I like the idea of the ford chevy combo with something off the ford out put. if the 200 is twin stickable and twin stick the 205 you could have 5 shifters coming out of the floor. sounds like a good theft detering device.

Matt the 200 is coming out to be replaced with at least one 205. The 200 tends to overheat after being buzzed down the highway but this only happens after the V8 swap.

In my Jeepster I have a divorced 205 out of a 1970 Dodge and, yes, it drops to the passenger side.

Yes I would remove the front output on the ford version. Also instead of running mini driveshafts to each one I have heard of making them share a U-Joint this way they are as close as possible. It sounds difficult to do though, there would need to be a lot of bracing and BS to run down, which is why when the time comes for me I'm probably gonna go with the ORD Doubler.

I think ford then Chevy is a good idea, because otherwise the front case's output will interfere with the rear case's front output. I was going to do this myself and if you use 2 chevy (or 2 passenger side drop) you sould have to clock (or cut) the front case.

Good luck

Or marry the 203 and 205 and mount the combined unit remote from the trans. Ford used a divorced 203 that would be ideal for this, add a GM 205 and you're using fewer driveshafts, ujoints and mounting points so you should end up more robust. And we all like mo bust (size).
