I'm swaping a chevy NV4500 into my jeep and I'm gonna buy an adapter from Novak and I want them to re-drill it so I can clock my D300. How many degrees should I tell them to drill the new set of mounting holes? I want to get it above the bottom of the frame is this possible?

I clocked one 3/4". It is up to the amount of room you have until the t-case hits the tranny. So with a 300 and a T18 I was able to move the holes 3/4" and that moved the yoke about 2" up or so.

To get it above the frame rails is possible, but it requires major surgery on your floor for the clearance. A 2 inch body lift would aliviate some of the cutting, but I don't think all. Your NV4500 is also going to hang down quite a bit, so you may not want to go to the hassle of clocking it up flat.

If you do, you will be clocking it 35deg, for a total of about 4.5 inches of additional clearance. (

You will probably need to extend your front drivshaft as well, and do some clerancing on the yokes.

BE WARNED!! If you do clock it flat and don't do a body lift, you may end up needing to trim out the floor reinforcing which is also where your seat mounts are.

i clocked mine, not sure exactly how much. if you do a search on it i had some pics posted of it. cant post pics anymore cause i dont have the red star (sucks). anyway you will be limited by your tranny thats what stoped mine from going anymore.
