Recently the brakes went out on my 75 200 4x4. I jacked it up took the wheel off and noticed my caliper froze and wore down one side of my left rotor to the fins. I have access to the parts to rebuild the calipers, but cannot find rotors. I have heard a rumor about late 70's ford 1 ton rotors fitting but am unsure if this is true. I have been to junk yards to find some i could possibly turn but all are drum front brakes. I have also found NOS rotors at close to $200 a piece.

Any help would be appriciated

I think it's Ford or Dodge 1Ton stuff that then has to be machined in some fashion before it works.

After pricing Dana 60 rotors for a Chevy.. the $250 Super Scout Specialists wants for the 4x4 front discs doesn't seem so out of whack.

Be glad yours is a 4x4.. you can't get rotors for the 2wd unless you want to pay to have one machined from billet. :D

I'd look into converting to Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 discs. It sounds like it would be cheaper than buying the IH rotors.

I have also considered buying a cheep 1 ton dodge w/ D70 rear and D60 front and swaping them in. Then I can just get the dodge parts for brakes and even more beef. if i do that there would be a Dana 60 rear and a Dana 44HD for sale soon after what do ya think? I'd like to stay away from GM Corporates

If you want to keep your 1T brakes, buy the $250 rotor and be done with it.

Otherwise, find a Chevy 3/4T and rob knuckles-out and swap them over complete.

you'll need to swap the IH "horseshoe" onto the Chevy knuckle on the driver's side. You may need to use the Chevy tie-rod - I'm not sure.

Probably need to look at different brake hoses, but maybe not.

I think you'd be $$$ and time ahead to just buy a new rotor. you only need one, right?

I need to replace both since they are no longer turnable i was tinkin about finding a 1 ton dodge parts truck and stealing both pumpkins n' pipes. then i would have D60 front and D70 rear
its goina be 200 a piece for rotors 70 to rebuild calipers 30 for pads 20 for hoses and fluid if im goina spend that much my as well get some bigger axels.
