Is there a cooler thermostat than the OE GM thermostat?

Jet makes "performance" stats. Some of the guys at thirdgen like to drill holes in the housing to lower temp and reduce flow restrictions. I usually find if i bring the old one in the parts store has one exactly like it but colder. Dont know bout your LS1 though.
