Reading in a mag where Honda is looking to have a CRF150 and a CRF230 IIRC. These are four strokes of course, but anyone else heard of these? What ya think??

The CR450 has proven to be less reliable than the bike it replaced...

Honda need to produce more bikes for real world riders and not just for supercross wanta bee's, because the average dork who buys a CRF gets it JUST because its "new" tech, then trail rides it..

trail riding is training for enduros and hare scrambles not for dorks. Just because guys who ride supercross are scared of it doesn't mean it's for dorks

What bike did the CRF450 replace?????
As far as I know, it didn't replace the XR 400 or the CR 500.
It is a competition four stroke that is meant to compete with the YZ 426, Husaberg, and KTM. While this bike is totally new and may have to have some bugs worked out, Honda has a reputation for making reliable four strokes and given a little time this one will be also. The problem is, Honda hasn't given the woods riders a good light fourstroke. We have been dealing with the heavier xr's and having to modify them to be fast and somwhat light. If Honda will give us the CRF with a 6 speed tranndy (lower first), weighted flywheel, and a lighting kit, this bike will absolutely dominate in the woods.

Desertboy... sorry you read me wrong,I ment dorks who buy the CRF450 leave it stock and then just trail ride it and wonder why it burns a 1/2 quart of oil in 40 miles...

85toyboy... the CRF replaced the CR500.. but yes if Honda made it more relibale (longer piston skirt and didnt care so much about saving weight) and put more woods friendly stuff on it then it would be a better bike for 90% of the people who bought them...

HMMM but once again the Focus wasn't on the woods.

The focus was on creating a bike that could compete with the 4 stroke super cross market.
