Anyone have any experience with this place? They have pretty good prices for a rebuilt tranny for my Dodge and it would save the downtime to just a day while I swapped trannys. Was wondering if anyone had any info before I pulled the trigger

(yes I'm cross-posting.....tough shit :flipoff2: )

They seem pretty legit. Seen a lot of their tranny's on ebay in all makes and models and it looks like their feedback is enough to support their claim of selling a good product. I'd go for it, either way you get a 12,000 mile/ 1 year warranty to boot

what dodge and what tranny? what's wrong with it?

my guess is a newer dodge with a A518...

make sure you do a Transgo Shift-kit, HD clutches, steels, and bands, and see if they'll put a diesel OD in it.

i had my 46RH rebuilt by a guy in Peoria Illinois that used to build a lot of monster truck and drag trannies. he is now a SAE master-tech at a local chevy deal and does all the special tranny work (like vettes and camaros with high HP).

i now have a 49RH. he was able to change some thrust washers around to get another clutch and steel in there. i also got the Diesel OD (6 planetary gears instead of 3 for the gas engines), carbon fiber bands, "cool-steel" steel and some funky clutches. all the seals were top shelf as well. he installed a modified Transgo shift kit and did a bunch of other little tricks to it.

i also run a BIG B&M stacked plate cooler and a remote filter under the hood. keeping the tranny cool is key to prolonging seal and tranny life. an Autometer temp gauge in a pillar pod helps with this. i switched the factory pan out for a Mopar Performance hi-cap pan as well.

run ONLY mopar 7176 fluid. its really not that expensive when bought by the gallon from the dealership.

the only thing i think i would research differently is the TC stall. my TC stalls at 1800 RPM...which i think is a little high. when towing in 2nd gear, the temp starts to build up, especially when in stop and go traffic. if i can get it in 3rd where the TC locks up, it goes right back down.

94 Ram 3/4 ton with a 47RH. Apparently every Dodge tranny is a 100K tranny..this one has 91K on it :D

mine had 101K...the pumps seals were bad and it just wouldn't shift sometimes without letting completely off the gas pedal.
