Any real difference in the caliper design or fittings from a 81 K20? Also since I am doing to the rear disc with JB7 calipers( K20) and the normal D60 front calipers, should I go with a bigger BMC?

Calipers are the same. I noticed a fair improvement in braking power when I went to a k30 MC. Getting ready to install my hydro booster :D

Thanx man. Anything to note about your install with the K30 MC? Or is it just straight forward, fittings, mounts, etc....

The k30 MC is designed for hydro assist brakes. For the most part it was a bolt on to my 85 k5. However my K5 uses a "stepbore" MC from the factory. The main "piston" or whatever it is called is 40MM(kinda big) then it steps down pretty small. I dont think the truck MCs are a stepbore so it may not fit in your vacuum booster.

As for the fittings, I just bought extended stainless brake lines(flexible) and ran those to the distribution block. Came out pretty nice.

Cool thanx for the heads up. Guess I will look into go to hydroboost all at once.
