Okay, I have a chev pu with the 5.0 engine. it just started leaking coolant somewhere out the top front part of the motor. It appears to be coming from just left of where the thermostat housing is. I could not determine exactly where the leak is. It does not appear to becoming from the waterpump or the thermostat housing. the left side housing for the waterpump is well below where the fluid is accumulating. The engine oil does not appear to have water in it. I ran the motor and looked for leaks and it just slowly accumulated coolant across the top left side of the motor. I had a fairly decent sized spot in the driveway this a.m., this is the first time i noticed any leaks. The drips actually run across the top left side of the motor then run down the back side of the motor then down the starter. It appears to be topside on the motor. Ideas? Thanks for any help.

it's the quick connect heater hose fitting. you will need a big easy out,tap and new fitting. don't touch it til you are ready to replace it,they snap right off once they begin leaking. kragen/napa carry the fitting and can set(napa) you up with the tap and easy out.
