well my system has been getting slow, anyhow i'm trying to give it a little tune up. When i went to task manager it had 4 svchost.exe or whatever running at once (as seen in attachment) is that normal? Any other things to help tune my computer (i've already defrag'd and disk clean up, and i'm probably gonna o/c it fairly soon.)?

delete cookies
delete temp inet files
delete items in temp folders
remove programs you don't use
buy more ram
buy better video card

#1 cleanup rule: If you don't know what it is don't delete it.

When all else fails... FDISK and reinstall.

Yes, the SVCHost entries are normal.

All they do is create an environment for dlls to run as services.

extra ones *can* be signs of a hacker though. Some of their tools hook SVCHost and use it.

Yeah, the Nachi virus is a good example... but looking at the Task Manager isn't really going to get you anywhere there.

ok now a few questions on overclocking. (FYI i'm running a gigabyte 7vaxp board, with Barton 2500+ XP processor). I've already adjusted the System bus to 174 with easytune (see picture), but i have to manually change the multiplier on the board. How much should i adjust the multiplier? I was thinkin about maybe 13 or so and drop the bus speed to 172 or so. what do yall think?
