stock fj rails. springs are in line f/r outboarded in the front 2.375"

body is stock.

wheelbase is 103"

38.5 14.5 sx's 2.5" bs wheels

60 front 70 rear full width

CrazyHorse
12-08-2001, 10:15 PM
hey jimmy, are the axles shaved? I was wondering how the pumpkin size of the 70 rear compared to the 60 front in terms of ground clearance? I have the option of either in the back of my bronco to go with the rc 60 front, and am looking for clearance info. also wondering how a shaved 60 and a shaved 70 would compare on size...

The Jerk
12-08-2001, 10:20 PM
they are not shaved, the 70 does hang low but oh well, the rig is getting 42's soon so that shoudl solve that, i might shave it or just let teh rocks do that part! jiMMy

Sillyneck
12-08-2001, 10:51 PM
hehehe....we were talking about that :D jiMMy knew someone would say that :D

the answer is....w/ a rig that is so bullet proof and built for mindless wheeling you need one thing to keep you on your toes :D and something to fix on the trail.

VERY Nice,,,

Very nice indeed... Looks sharp. Now make sure you dont dent anything. :D

I think that should get the job done quite nicely. Keep up the good work guys. IMHO that is the way a rig should look. not all tube this and that.. It should look like a factory rig but much bigger and stronger.

Way cool!!! they are ford f 150 rear springs from early 80's late 70's pick ups, the center pin is offset 7 inches and yes they are long and super soft. i used them at all four corners.

and as for beadlocks, well it doesnt take bead locks to get it rolling so when the money comes back around they will be tehre again! jiMMy

PS: thanks for the coments guys we apreciate it!

f-150 springs!!!!!!!

8" off set pin...about 58" long eye to eye as they sit w/ weight on them.

Damn that i a little wide don't ya think.
You might want to get like 4 inch back spacing and pull out the grinder. You can't hert those 1 ton callipers any. You are never gunna fit in your lane, not to mention your trailer.

Just givin ya sheit.

But Good Sheit to think about while your still hanging around with Mike and Phill every weekend, and you can bum there grinder. HAHa.

Looks good.

Hey jIMMy What springs are those?? :flipoff2:

Did you relocate the hangers for the bad boy f-150 springs? I was thinking about doing that to my cruiser. mmmmmm Looks super flexy. Look at that shackle angle! Sweet!!

The Jerk
12-12-2001, 12:15 PM
yup all 4 hangers were cut off. front ones replaced with RE rear cj hangers, and teh shackle front one were made by my buddy Matt at B&T. the rear fronts were cut off and replaced with the RE cj hangers as well. and the rear shackle hangers are the stock cruiser ones cut off and flipped around and moved back 2 inches or something! jiMMy
in this shot you can see the old sleve in teh frame where my old shackle reversal was. and teh new hangers Matt made me!

The Jerk
12-12-2001, 12:49 PM
oh yeah teh front springs had to be outboarded too for a full width axel. and yes it will have a front traction bar! jiMMy
