Hi,
I plan to install 4.88 gears into my Toy 'Cruiser. I am some what technicaly inclined (my own BMW 2.7 engine rebuild and swap, Toy SOA, X-over steering).
I'd like to find out how do I change ring and pinon set correctly in my 9.5" Toyota diffs. Are there any tricky parts? Do I have to get special measure tools?
Thanks!
Andrey
PS. When I'll stop being a newbie?

That's the dial indicator. Get a magnetic base for it: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=5645
