I'm getting ready to do an different set-up..
looking to run 36"s, SOA, and an SRS.
I have an RE rear drive shaft, JB Conversions SYE kit, M.O.R.E. srs kit, Ford 8.8 rear w/ 4:10s, Dana 30 front w/ 4:11s, and longer brake lines.
Queston is...what else will I need??
Will I have to have an adaptor to run the Ford 8.8? If so, who makes it; and where can I buy it?
An info would be great! Looking to do this in about 3 weeks!!

ya, I figure the D30 will be the next big expense. Just can't do it all at once:( Thinking the D30 should be ok for a while though since it isn't locked.

There's so many "what if's" that can follow that sentence it's not even funny.

Your probably gonna go through what most people do (including myself), the rear is breaking so you've upgraded it. Now you want bigger tires, so you do everything for that....followed up by practicing for the "Replace A D30 Front Shaft As Fast As Possible And Waste A Lot Of Money On Spares" competition. :D

true; but I meant if anyone can be a bit more detailed than "think steering". I would like to be able to at least drive it after the SOA and the SRS! Just tring to get ALL parts needed before I tackle the project.

What D30 is it? I don't see if it's a CJ/YJ/ etc

If it's a 'newer' D30, you're better off than a CJ D30.

That might be able to narrow down some issues.

93 huh? Is it reverse cut? I don't remember if they started putting those in in 93 or 94 (or maybe even 95)

I would take that dana 30 out and use a 44 at LEAST! 8.8's are popular swaps (i dont see why) but with the gearing you are running 36" tires with 4:11's your hi range is going to suck off the line, is this a theoretical swap, are you planning on doing this all in the next couple of weeks? or is most of it done? Build it right the first time is all i can tell you

Sounds like a cluster fawk to me.

You already have a lift, yes? You using those springs or something else?

Stock drop pitman arm, wazat?

8.8 adapter, not really sure what you're gettin at here either...

How much longer brake lines? Lines for a 4" SUA lift don't cut it.

Shocks? Perches? U-bolts? Welder?

What wheelbase?

I think there is a u-joint conversion adaptor to bolt the driveshaft up to the 8.8's flange.

You might want to rethink putting the 8.8 in. Does'nt make sence macthing the lug pattern to the front that you are going to swap out later.
