Hey Man

Do these things have to go in the "fixed" enf of the spring or will they do the same thing in the shackle end?

Seems like an easier modification if I dont have to cut off and rebuild my spring hangers.

Also, will you post those shots of your Cruiser with the OE springs in them again?

TIA

Nolen, I think they go in both ends. ALthough they can make them any way you want them too. In both ends it would flex better.
Gonna get a set?

Next Mod, but it will probably be after the first of the year...the latest mods cost MUCH more than anticipated

When FJ posted the price a few months ago, he stated that they were $430 per set with one orbit eye per spring, double eyes were extra.

I wanted to know which end he recommended.

FJ, you out there?

He's probably wrenchin. Just e-mail him directly at crawltec.com. I don't recall him saying anything about only one end having the OE. But if that's the case I would venture a guess that it would go in the end opposite of the shackle.

from what I understand they are wider than stock spring/bushings so you will need to replace your hangers. Alan has the stock to do this made up. it would be just a matter of drilling it and welding it to the frame.

sorry to just now respond i was out yesterday,
they are were first designed to go into the fixxed end ..
putting them in the shackle end only would not yield as much benefit as them being in the solid mount , look at it like this the solid end is well ummm solid and the shackle end will have some flex in it because the shackle acts like a lever agains't two sets of bushings ,where as the solid end works agains't only one set of bushings , half the amount of rubber to flex ; much stiffer and does not have the added leverage of the shackle ..
for the most flex you would want them in both ends , but you will still gain a bunch of flex with orbits in just the solid spring mount ..
they are wider then the stock bushing width .
you do need to change your shackles and weld a new set of solid spring mounts ..
i do have some material i could sell that can be custom cut however you want ..
is this the picture you were thinking of ?

Thanks man! Yeah, that is the picture. Do you have dual Orbits in that picture? Looks like it.
When you get a chance and you get up and running as a distributor of these things for Cruirs, will you post a picture of the prices, hangers and orbits, etc...

I would appreciate it.

I am still in the tire kicking stage, I went WAY over budget on the axles and spring over so I will be a while.

It is my next big mod though, 2" lift springs and 42's. Giddy UP!!!
