I have a specific question about my application. My axles for my truck are built already. I have an 82 j10. Stock front D44 is 65" wide, rear amc20 is like63.5". New axles are StockD44 front with 3/4 ton chevy outers 67" wide, and 14 bolt rear 67" wide. I am now addressing tires and rims. I have a line on a set of 36" bias hummer tires a co-worker will trade me for my 35s(15" rim) even across. If I use a 16.5 hummer rim the bolt pattern will match up, and will work with the new tires, and be CHEAP , and possibly give me a beadlock (and be somewhat inconspicuous to the local law inforcement) if I get the right application. Will these rims fit in front with this severe backspacing, without spacers??? (my outers are flatops, cutoff stock tie rod connections, and bob roggy high steer arms 1-1 1/8" thick with a 1" rise, and appear to be turned inward slightly more than the stock width, and obviously in a much higher location). I think the stock backspacin is like 4" with the 15X8 rim, additional width comes in with 3/4 ton outers(just a shy under 1" additional on each side). HELP, do not want to buy rims if they won't work!!!???

The bias military two piece hummer rims I have, got a 7.75-8" backspacing. They will interfer with the stock steering arm and highsteer arms unless made to clear them. If you need any measurements I can grab to tape measure.

i'm running a J-20 dana 44 with flat-top knuckles and a hi-steer arm myself, and Hummer wheels won't fit mine.....
i'm getting some 1 1/4" spacers made myself. here ís a pic of test fitting the hummer wheels, they have 1/2"or so of washers on the studs before the wheels (the calipers have been ground some also) and they still contact the knuckles. but the brake rotors are very well protected
