I have a stepside short bed with wood in-lays. I wanted to make a home for my 35X12.5 tire. I would like it to be angled up a little like a baja style and bolt to the front of the bed near the cab. As has anyone seen an article on this or designed one themselves? Thanks.

and A Universal Angled Spare Tire Mount $180 (http://www.4wheelparts.com/product2.asp?imseqn=507&occlass=GSPACC&cat=EA) from www.4wheelparts.com

i have a rollbar in the back of my truck, and i had my spare 36" mounted to it, angled with the rollbar. it looked pretty sweet but it caused a lot of visibility problems.(i couldn't see out the back)
eventually it broke off when i was driving all crazy and i just let it set in the back if the bed. now i can see allright

I like the rockstomper mount. Nothing says class like showcaseing your products on a greasy garage floor with burn out marks.

t will be a little while,my wife has to go in for surgery friday so im spending some time with her.Ill get back to you tho.
If you wanna know what it will look like, go pick up the latest copy of OFF-ROAD magazine. It's got an orange stepside on the cover. Same truck has the wood inlay bed with an angled mount.
There's about three places to get one.
You might try Duffco www.duffcoenterprises.com
Fabtech won't sell direct so you have to call one of the big chains like 4 wheel parts.
