This is my second set of radial swampers, and I absolutely love em. Great all round tire, and they kick ass in the snow. Don't even have to think about putting chains on. Can't wait to get my next set. 36x12.50

same size I'm stepping up to, I'm gonna go with plain TSLs tho, hopefully they do good in the snow too!

My experience is the bias swampers don't do nearly as well in the snow.

well then I will reconsider.. I like to play in the snow alot. I just figured since my truck has been pulled from any road duty I would sway over to the bias tires instead but maybe sticking with radials is my best bet after all..

I'm considering trying a set of SX's. I'm sure I could sell em easy if I didn't like em. The sidewalls on the bias swampers are too stiff. You can let all the air out, and barely tell. Not sure how the SX's are though. I think the rubber compound on the bias tires also gets too hard when it's cold.

The radials air down very nicely and stay soft when it's cold. I haven't had any sidewall failures in 2 sets. Not quite as aggressive, but they do very well in all conditions. You already know that though.

I had a little chat with mother nature, and she won't be giving you Kali folk much snow. You got way more than your share last year. We're "gettin it" this year.

Mount Pilchuck is out the Moutain Loop Hwy east of granite falls. East of Everett. It's easy to find. Pilchuck gets a lot of yuppie traffic, so you have to be prepared for some major traffic jams. If you go up early, you can avoid them. Coming down is different story.

Pilchuck is nice cuz you don't have to drive far for some deep stuff. There are much better places to go though.

Here's a 360* panorama I took from the top last summer.
