I live in northern cali. Where is the best place to get cheap gears. When i say cheap i want the best deal on a good set of gears. I am looking for 4:88-5:13 gears for a coperate 14 bolt.

The guys at Randy's Ring and Pinion have sold me all my gearsets, lockers etc. Their prices are very competetive, and thier tech support is great.

I have had good luck with Randy's and West Coast Diff.

Ive also had good luck with Randy's and they were very helpful when I needed gear doodads such as carriers, and a detroit... Very helpful, will be ordering from them again when I get my D44/8.8 setup.. with spool/detroit/4.88's..

randy's SUCKS!!!! they sold my friend some clutches for an 8-3/4 rear and they sent him some 44 clutches. some tech support! buy from rock equipment in lincoln,CA. these big guys could care less if you get the right sh*t........................:beer:

I call BS on that one. Every time I have talked to them they have been nothing but helpful. Every person that I know of who has ever gotten parts from them says the same thing. Hey, people make mistakes and sometimes send the wrong part, it happens with EVERY business. Did your friend call Randy's and let them know? If so, I seriously doubt that they were a$$holes to him. I have yet to meet a person who actually got bad service from Randy's. And no, they are not the "big guy" either.

not the big guy? who came up first in a search for gears? you sucka! ask for the "not so comin " set-ups and no one knows their dick from a pinion gear! you can pump them up all you want, but there still a "business". they make their money off you! my friend still has those clutches cause they were a "special item order"? you want to argue with them? 8-3/4" chrysler rears are still the non c-cplip option for dodge and plymouth guys. sorry i don't drive XJ (x-tra gay!) they say they are the ring and pinion people, :laughing: i personally don't care cause i'm covered ( my guy knows his sh*t!!! ):usa:

Well that sucks, sorry your friend had a bad experience. Randy's still gets my money seeing as how you are the ONLY person that I know of who had a problem.

Randy's sucks. I have to agree. They were more than helpful but ended up sending the wrong gears to the wrong address. Good thing my neighbor is honest. Yeah sure everyone makes mistakes but when I called to make sure the address in their system was correct (which is was) they were quite rude to me. All I got was "If you're not happy with the gears, you pay shipping back and we will refund the sale price only" I never wanted to return the gears, all I wanted to do was ensure that future purchases would go to the right place and the guy was a total dick. Oh well, their loss.

West coast gets my $$$ from now on. Also Drivetrain direct. (Drivetrain direct will beat any price out there also, get a quote and give them a call and tell them what you got, they will beat it) The parts from Drivetrain Direct showed up in 2 days! WHOA!! :eek:
