One of my friends drives a pepsi turck and fills up the vending machines around town. Last Friday he was driving down the street and apperently the brakes didn't quite work as well as they were suppose to when he tried to stop and instead of plowing into the stopped cars infront of him he decided to go around them off to the side but unfortunatly it didn't quite work out and well you can see the picture.... I told him he shoulda gassed it and turned into the roll and rode it out :shaking: :p :p :D
I also still like that Bellingham is small enough that this actually qualifies as "news" :D

Me and my other friend went out to look at it because the street he did it on is usually pretty busy and they decided to leave it there untill 8:00pm. As we were leaving we saw them start to set up to recover the truck and they had two HUGE tow trucks to pull it out along with 4 WADOT trucks showing up and they had to close the whole street and set up a detour.
SOmetimes its fun having dumbasses for friends :D

Assuming the brake not working story is true, kudos to your friend for not creaming some poor soul in front of him!!! I'd rather see the rig on its side, then on top of a family, and I am sure Pepsi would also!!!
Ahh, Bellingham, the place where nothing happens... :)

Yeah he said the people in front of him were pretty happy about it too.
Thats right nothing happens here and we like it that way! You can keep your hussle and bussle down south there in Seattle ;) :p
Pavemen 09-25-2003, 03:25 PM I am just waiting for someone to chop that red rig into a Coke truck with the driver laughing his ass off
Joe_W 09-25-2003, 03:27 PM Apparently his front tires locked up

Thats what my freinds say!
moveaside 09-25-2003, 04:10 PM No offense to your buddy but he was following too close or going too fast. Air brakes either work or they don't pretty much. Yeah the slack adjusters could be out of adjustment or the pads worn but they'll still lock up no problem if they need to. I can't say I'm any better I pulled off the side of the road down on American Canyon Rd once to take in piss in a bottle in one of the bay doors of my old truck and the sonofabitch sank in the dirt to the axle. It took a big rig towtruck to get me out. It hadn't rained in weeks either talk about a bitch.

Joe W says his front tires locked up... if that is the case, bye bye steering....
