If properly maintained you can expect 300k+ out of them. They are NOT high rpm motors like a Chev 305. They are designed for low rpm and reliability.

Probably means the Chevy 5.0L, or 305 like he said. More common and more of them made than the short lived 302.:D

Well except for that a Chevy 305 and 307 are not short-stroke engines like a Chevy 302 is. Regardless, if a 305 is a high reving engine I'll be happy because I have one of those grandma engines in my flatfender right now. Of course anything can be made to rev with some work :)

All the 304's i've owned have been about as nice as I could have wanted. I used to get 13-14 out of Lil Mule.
