: Pro Comp Shocks - Can up or can down?

But really, I was told last night that can up is in fact upside down for mounting these shocks. Does it really change the valving?

Anyhow, they are series 1000 and 3000 shocks on a sprung under CJ. Thanks in advance for the info.

only if montube design they can be mounted upside down, if twin tube or gas charged, they will foam the fluid inside and will give you 1" up and 1"down freeplay, with no absorbtion. unless designed to be this way.

procomp 3000, can down or they dampen like a bumpstop:D

Sorry for the hijack, but are the bilstein 5100's monotube, and can you mount them can up.
