Well....since you know everything <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> maybe you could give me an estimate on how much my frontend is worth.

I'm going to probably be running it for a while longer (unless a dana 60 front shows up at a price I can't refuse) BUT I am curious how much my current frontend would be worth.

It is a 74 cruiser frontend

Coarse spline pinion and open diff.

Toy pickup disc brakes w/ vented rotors off of an early 80s cruiser, and late 80s ifs toy calipers.

The steering arms have been drilled with a tapered drill bit to accomodate a dana 44 tie rod and ends (=very heavy duty).

Currently set up for SOA and SUA (perches above and below tubes)

The stock shock mounts are still there as well as new ones which sit low on the side of the axle tube so I can run longer shocks with my SOA.

I sold mine for $400 with Birfs and inner axles with the disc brakes. FYI.

Hey Tankota, I'd say that if you could get $400 for the axle, you'd be doing alright, but there's always sombody out there at the right time willing to pay a higher price!

Yeah it's true, that we just had a baby, so not much time in the evening to surf the boards.

Hey Nolen thanks for the rock wheels, I guess the OEM doesn't know what they have since they told me those wouldn't fit! The fit real nice and it was simple to do, bout 20 a side...gotta go get a beer, you know every effort deserves a reward!

They run about $800 around here. I don't really want to add in the cost of a front air locker, shortening, and 35 spline outers otherwise I'd probably never do the swap <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I resemble that remark. I am a newbie to this board. I have been on the LCML, ORC, for awhile. I finally decided to join this board because you guys seem to be doing the cutting edge / inventive stuff. No one knows everything. But there is a ton of knowlege on this board.

I really do think this forum is the "best" of all the POR forums.
Besides the fact that it deals with Cruisers, I think the people are the most mature. (except when DRM visits- ssshhhhh <IMG SRC="smilies/clown.gif" border="0"> )
And I think we have less cyber wheelers/whanabees on this forum than some of the others.

Hey Adam,

I sold my '80 and got a Cummins tow rig! Had to do it but I hated to.

I was out in your neck of the woods with Brimmer on Sunday and Monday of this week. We went up to the lava rocks and took some photos for the calender and he let me wheel his Mini on some of the ARCA stuff outside of Cedar City.

It was a hoot. I am jealous of you guys!

Great to hear the tires got there safely. I wanted to make sure the tires were NOT going to come off the pallet. :-) The tires had 0 miles on them. I had them mounted on my beadlocks, but decided not to use them since I'll be going to a larger tire size.

I got the Boggers from Shane last night. Like Shane said, they look brand new. Thanks again. Will have them mounted tomorrow. Funny thing is, I measured the height at about 34", I had thought the 16/35's were a true 35" tire. That's actually good news, as now I won't have to replace my lift springs.
