: Ideas on mounting a portable DVD

My kids just bought me a Toshiba portable DVD player for my B Day. Being I’m somewhat anal about my toy (Shut up Paul) I don’t want the player to sit it up on the dash so I’ll need to make a mount for it. I was thinking of removing the worthless Tea Cup holders and making a more sturdy type of Aluminum tray. Has any one else out there done a similar approach? I've seen the larger flexible Laptop mounts that bolt onto the tunnel but I think for my tastes it will be way to intrusive in the massive passenger accommodations. Any ideas will be appreciated..

D-

I just saw today at Best Buy a car holder for portable CD player. It kinda reminds me of the Laptop mount but small. It is about the size of a car phone, mount and all.

Max was this the one?

I had a similar CD mount in my 944 but the Toshiba is about 1/3 wider and twice as long. Im getting this setup for a road trip and I need the back seat kidlets to be able to view it. I prefer not to put the pimp screens in the head rests. Ill let the DII and RR owners do that...

Thanks

Awwww man,

This crosses the line. Get this type of crap back to DiscoWeb or at least to the D-90 BB. Chit Chat might be good as well, but they might flame you there as well.

I've got to drive the dam thing 1600 plus miles to go on this next trip to Montana. and i got passangers wife and the kids. Ive ruled out heavy doses of narcotics or duct tape to keep them quiet?

I guess a creative idea may have been to much to ask. ill stick to the simple questions from now on. Which shocks are better OME or Ranchos?

That's *also* a question for D-Web. Their answer would be: neither, you have to get Bling-en-steins.

If you need really super beefy mounts for whatever-ails-ya check out www.ram-mount.com.

Great site Serious One. I did come across it earlier today, I’m not sure if I want to do a swivel mount or make my own mounting pad.

I’m leaning towards removing the tea cup tray and fabricating up a Roverbiz solution... I like to have it my way if not ill make it my way…

DWebbers buy Blistines LOL...

I also love the topic which spark plug is best that gets the juices flowing...

Thanks for the inputs

Now it is getting even deeper in the crap. I never, ever thought I would see the words "tea cup tray" in a posting on the PBB. How are your vanity mirror and seat warmers doing?
