ok here is the deal. i have a destroked 400 thats a beast (dont get into destroked motors have less torq.. i know this but its a BUILT motor) anyways im in the process of designing something interesting for offroad use only and i need to find a nice auto tranny that has a nice low first gear and such. and im tryin to decide if a built 300 or atlas 2 is the way. any other suggestions are welcome.

i know a tranny guy who does alota stuff for guys who race, im assuming if i find a good tranny he can beef it.

let me know whatcha think

thanks fawkers:flipoff2:

Hey Focker its just a game, Geez Focker

I would suggest if you are going to have it built and money is not an issue then the lowest first geared auto gets you a th700r. With the right internals they are a good tranny. If not then you choose th400, or th350. The gear specs are in the tech bible. All are easily adapted to the d300 or the Atlas II. You also need to find out your susp height and wheelbase in order to choose so you arent too long in the tranny area Fawker:flipoff2:

wheelinjp thanks beeeaaatttccchhhh!!!!!!!

i forgot the specs were in the bible, and i do have a line on a 400 that would go nicely behind it. now down to whhheeelllyyyy base... it doesnt really matter how long it is because the engine tranny tcase will decide on the size of the mall crawler.
