: can ARB model RD57 fit disco 94 (series 1)?
mony orbach 09-29-2003, 01:58 AM I have a disco 94.
I got a good deal on ARB locker model rd57
The problem is that acording to ARB it fits 98 disco's (series 2)
can it fit 94 disco?
DiscoDino 09-29-2003, 02:49 AM nope, different carrier, axle length and so forth...(my guess  )
m016324 09-29-2003, 05:23 AM yeah I think the DII axles are slightly wider here's the application chart from arb
http://arbusa.com/alac/usa/215110.pdf
doesn't look like it'll fit just buy some new disco axles:flipoff2: :flipoff2:

PTSchram 09-29-2003, 07:39 AM First off, let's make sure it is truly for a Disco II. A 1998 Discovery is a series one, not a series II, the Series IIs didn't begin until mid-MY99. If however, it islisted as being for a Series II, then it won't fit and you just have the MY wrong.
If it is for a Disco I, you should sell it to me!:flipoff2:
All the Disco axles from '94 to mid '99 were essentially identical, 24 spline, etc.
Peace,
Paul
DiscoDino 09-29-2003, 07:49 AM Not sure if the "mony orbach" is from the US or the rest of the world (no location), but the DII was introduced to the world as a 1998 model, so it may be that.
Also, 1994 DI models did have 10 spline front axles (pre-march), so its a coin toss on that.
Sorry Paul...:flipoff2:
luke4696 09-29-2003, 07:54 AM Well I got a DII, and if he is in the U.S., I would love to take it off his hands...

Since I have a DI, I can't very well use it.
Also, I was apparently going on NAS series IIs as I'm certain that it was mid year 99 that the US got the Series IIs. And, I thought for sure that the 10-24 spline change occurred in '93.
