Hey guys,
My son has an 'Invention Report' due in school. His first choice was Philo T. Farnsworth, inventor of the television, but he changed his mind. Now he wants to do it on the Land Rover.
I have tons of info on the vehicles, development, etc...but I can't find much information in any of the books I have about Maurice and Spencer Wilkes, the chief desingers (inventors if you will) of the Land Rover.
If anyone can provide information that is cited, web sites are acceptable if cited too, I would really appreciate it.
I'm scouring the internet and still finding little about the brothers Wilkes.

Just make stuff up, and the citations to go with it. Teachers don't check that crap out. Lots of glitter, fancy pics, and you'll be grand.

Even easier go to the following sites and cut and paste
http://www.rover.org.nz/pages/histpic/hind4.htm
http://www.lrm.co.uk/archive/
http://members.lycos.co.uk/offrover/newpage5.html
http://www.imps4ever.info/marques/hillman.html
http://www.roverp4.com/history.htm
http://off_rover.tripod.com/history.htm
Even a quote by him
There are three types of country in the world;
helicopter country, four wheel drive country
and all the country in between... which belongs
to the Land-Rover! Spencer Wilks, 1953

Use a meta search engine. They take the top replies from multiple search engines and then put them in a single place also use " " or some such diffrent search engines have different syntacts. There was also a show on Fine living channel about landrovers history. If you have directv you may be able to tape it.
