: Fellow Wheeler, And Good Friend, Has Died.
Mr McGee 09-30-2003, 05:55 AM I just found out this morning that my good friend and fellow wheeler, Nick, died in a single vehicle car accident last night. he was driving his 98 chevy truck when, they think, he fell asleep at the wheel.
He was one AWESOME kid...he even had a full ride to Wyotech coming up that he won at the bodywork nationals.
I can barely hold it together, he was a great kid, died at only 18 :(.
He left his younger sister as an only child and his parents are devistated.
sorry cant type anymore, please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Rascal 09-30-2003, 06:56 AM I am very sorry for your and his family's loss. It never ceases to amaze me of how things like this play out. When I was 19, I survived a 60MPH head on collision with a 200 year old Oak tree. I took the windshield out with me as I was catapulted into the tree. I ended up waking up in the hospital with 76 stitches in my head. In my case alcohol was involved and no I was not wearing a seat belt. I was in the center of a bench seat in a pickup. Many people may debate this fact - but today I am a normal functioning member of society. Each and every day I am thankful for my "second" chance - unfortunately many people are not given that chance. It is scary how quickly lives can be changed and/or taken away. Please pass my condolences along to his family.

helocat 09-30-2003, 11:24 AM Max,
Strong positive thoughts and prayers for his family and you. I had a close friend die when I was 16 and he has never left my thoughts. To this day I get a smile when I think about the fun times we had snow skiing together on the HS Ski Team. Now is not easy but give yourself time and remember Nick for the positive things and times he has brought into your life.
Peace to those we hold close and others in our lives past and present.
Mark
Slowerthanu 09-30-2003, 11:40 AM I'm sorry.
The emptiness will never leave but it will get easier.
Stupid frnch jackasS 09-30-2003, 12:36 PM I feel your pain. A good friend of mine died when we were both 17. I really missed him, we were supposed to make the same college studies, and it was terrible. I had a few other bad problems in my life at that time as well, and didn't really know where I was going. but the happiness he had, and the way he enjoyed life pushed me forward. I hung on, and realized how luck I was to be alive, and went positive thinking, as a tribute for him.
Hang on Max, your sadness will eventually turn into positive energy. His memory will make you stronger.
My thoughts to him, his family and friends.
peace.
