Anyone know where i can get a good price on a temp gauge? I know Kregons and Pep-Boys have them for $20, but i think i want a good quality gauge.

Which is better? Mechanical or electric?

yeah, summit or jegs

For the water temp, deffinately go elec. The mechanical one uses a goofy ass wire filled with chit and it goes bad if you look at it wrong much less bend it. They suck

You didn't say WHAT temp. :) I am using an auto meter carbon figber series (oh ah) gauge to moniter my EGT's from my turbo. Put the same one on my brother's Cummins dodge and he loves it. BTW it's electric.

Mine was $112. :) Really try E-bay. They have some people that sell below wholesale prices. I got my other gauges there for way less.

Selling the Camero? Why? Need $$ for the FJ?
Saw Kevin yesterday at Pep Boys and he said you got a D44.
You want to help me bend that pipe? Can't figure out how to do it :(

Hahahaha.....yep, Damn river:flipoff2:

As for the storage, its in CHICO......still. My biggest problem is that I don't have a garage :( so its more convenient to keep it up there while I'm not using it. I plan on buying a house in the city by the summer though so it'll get a new home very soon :smokin:

Get the good guage, though. It really is worth a few extra dollars to know EXACTLY how warm your motor is, cause you don't want it to :nuke:

I went with the Autometer liquid filled. I thought that these things were the siht, but they seem just as cheesey as the rest of the guages out there. I had to replace the mech. water temp. gauge after it was installed. It was not bent or mistreated just did not work. I ordered mine from Summit....

depends how much you want to spend. Autometer gauges are really bottom of the barrel crap gauges, but if your looking for affordable that they are. GReddy and Tomei are all i would ever use depending on application. If its for a beater get the autometer. they're about 50 bucks. GReddy's are 250+, but you definitly get what you pay for (accuracy for one thing). Mechanical and electrical are all personal preference. If you wanna wire up a mechanical system and risk it leaking in your cab, or just the simple electrical setup.

I would have to say that Nordskog (sp) are the best priced guages iv'e seen. I have seen then used on many occasions in many different types of vehicles and they perform great. Summit sells them for a real good price.
