With this latest thread about rear axle shafts busting-
I have several questions:
in a tight 38mm split case-has anyone broken stuff inside?
Has anyone grenaded a late model tranny (post 8/80)?
With 60 rear axle conversions-has anyone broken a long side? (as it is longer, and produced with technology circa 1981 or newer-vs 1968 fine spline rear shafts which could be stuck in your 1981 FJ40....)
And what would you choose to be the ideal front axle set up-using common spares nothing that you could not get parts for in 3 years? (ala Warn BE kits)
