Think it was 87 or 88. I know in 88 they started to use the 241, probly had 208 mixed in as well.

?? When did they use the aluminum top cover on the SM 465?? I have a 465 that has a 208 adapter on it, so the guy told me. I will take a pic and post it.

When the pickups went to the new style in '88 they also switched over to the 241 case. The 208 could possibly have been around in the Blazers or Suburbans for another year since they kept the old body style, but I know my '90 K5 came with a 241..........

This is the tranny in question. The shifter is far more foreward than a standard 465. It does look as if a standard cover might bolt on to it. Any one with any info? I am trying to sell it and want to make sure I give proper info.

Here, I couldnt get into my site earlier.

some V vehicles continue using the np208 up to 91, beside that all the rest moved into the 241 in 88.
