Is there any trick to removing the front leftsprings of the early 80's trucks? It has that little plate with 2 bolts through it. Is the plate part of the bolt that slides through? It seems really seized in there..
Any ideas?
Thanks

yes remove the two little bolts, the plate is part of the bolt.

i beat my mounts crooked with my baby sledge, but those pins will come out.
if you twist those little plates before you start pounding it will help break it loose.
do a search i gave a much better answer in the toy forum just a few days ago.

I used a little wd40 on the plate studs.. and the rubber.. if that dosent help.. just beat it out.. or if you need to use a sawzall on them.. and then use a punch on them

Try some PB Blaster instead of WD40, it is a way better penetrating oil. If that doesn't work, try an oxy-acetalyene torch. Mine has been the most useful tool on my suspension.
