Well got some news. I got T-boned by a chevy Suburban today.
This is what happened. Just got off work, was heading home when i hit some black ice near an intersection. The sami came to a complete stop at the intersection. But the sami was side ways facing the snow bank. And hear come a surburban locked all her brakes and plow straight into the Sami Passanger side rear tire. The sami turns a whole 180 facing the opposite direction. I stepped out of the sami expecting the rearend to be totaled. But to my suprise not even a dent. as for the SUV bumper half bent, with the licence plate imprinted on my Sami tire. First thing tomorrow will look over the whole coil suspension for any damage. because that is where all the force of the impect was directed. Also take apart the axle to see if the axle or the housing is bent. Otherwise. I am fine and the Sami look fine in the dark. Keep you posted if they is any thing wrong on the sami.
:mad3: :mad3: I think I will have couple of these tonight, and call it an early night.

Hey Samit,

I'm really glad to hear you're okay! Hopefully your awesome Samurai is in as good a condition as you are. If that suspension held up, kudos to Mike Shaffer for an awesome design!

sami, just got her results back.

Good news is all suspension part on the sami are good. (coil Springs, control arms, welded brackets) Axle housing is also good.

Bad Part. Need new Spidertrax rear brake conversion.
Spidertrax product didn't pass the T-bone crash test.

1. Aluminum bracket bent( Bracket attaches to the calaper)
2. Wheel Plate bent (Plate which bolts the wheel/ tire to axle shaft)
3. Rear brake rotor bent.
