My new bride and I leave for Honolulu in the morning.. we'll have 8-9 days to take in what we can.
What's a must-do, what's not worth the time/money.. and of course, where do I *really* want to go, vs. where the tourist books try to steer me? :D
Pearl Harbor is already a must-do. I'm thinking about a cruise that'll visit the harbor, the Arizona, the Missouri, and the Punch Bowl..

LOL. Pearl Harbor was a must-do, and the hotel's a block from Waikiki.. but there's gotta be some places off the usual path..
I have some relatives on the island I'll look up, too. :)

talk to your relatives right away. they will know where all the cool places that are off the beaten path that the locals hide from the tourists.
