Anyone watch this show on the Discovery Channel? Tonight they tested the myth about cell phones causing fires at gas pumps. As it turns out, cell phones do not cause explosions at the pump. Rather, the explosions can be caused by static electricity built up by getting in and out of the vehicle while the gas is being pumped.

They're also testing breast implants to see if they will explode at higher altitudes, such as in airplanes.

Pretty interesting show.

Yeah. I've actually had a cd blow up in the drive before. It happened at school, and when I was talking to one of the techys, he said they'll explode like that if there's a crack in the cd.

I've only heard of it happening once and it was in a cd player about 5 years ago
