I recently aquired a sm420 from a '67 chevy. I'm curious if there is any way to adapt it to work behind a 345. I know most IH trannys used a long input shaft, so that might be my answer right there. I know one way is to swap in a smallblock chevy, but, I don't have the money for that swap right now and I just wired up the 345 for tbi about two months ago. If anybody knows anything, I'd appreciate it, but if it can't be done, I'll just throw the tranny in the storage shed with the other "someday" parts.
