: International Terra Scout
BUCKYXJ 10-07-2003, 09:06 AM My Father-in-laws salvage has one that they said I could have it has a D44 rear but I don't know what kind of front it is sort of an oval shape. I has the V8. Also would this be a good build up project? Thanks
Bucky
MochaMike 10-07-2003, 10:35 AM What Year is it?
Is there Rust?
Build up for what?
The front is a D30.
You need to supply more info...

If first year for the Terra was 76, NO D30s in 76!
BUCKYXJ 10-07-2003, 11:00 AM I thought it was a '78 but I could be wrong just minor surface rust that I could see. the rear where the taillights are looks like it has been pushed in a little. The front axle looks like the D30 in my XJ I just wasn't sure if they came with D30's. I believe it is a terra scout now you guys have me wondering. It is the pickup with the removable top. the same size as a scout 2. The build up would be for a weekend driver and some mild to extreme trails. It is spring under if I remember correctly I was going to do a spring over and some taller springs and get some good size meats. Its a standard on the floor I believe so what tranny t-case could it have? I know it has two sticks for the T-case.
Thanks
MochaMike 10-07-2003, 11:30 AM Ok Bob, offer up some Tech from that Huge Shiney Cranium of yours....
What Round Pumpkin came in a Terra?
Oh, wait, its 25+ years old, could a 30 been swapped in?:flipoff2:
So Buck, your not sure if its a Scout or not?
If it's a Tera, it's longer than a Scout II...

Sounds like you will have a D44 in the front to match up with the D44 in back. The Tcase is a D20 (unless its an '80 model, then its a D300). I'm guessing on the tranny, but T19? I run a slushbox 727, so not real sure which manuals were in the trucks.
If it is a Terra, then you have the traveller wheelbase at 118", not the Scout II wheelbase of 100".
All of this may be pointless of someone swapped parts out.
Ben Segrest 10-07-2003, 12:30 PM sounds to me like it's an 800 with a 304, d30 front/44 rear.
BUCKYXJ 10-07-2003, 01:29 PM does anyone have a pic of an 800?
Harvester of Sorrow 10-07-2003, 01:35 PM hee hee....he said 800:flipoff2:

wow from that angel the difranceis so obvious
Jayrockn7 10-07-2003, 03:11 PM Bucky does it have a top on it at all????should be a half cab top. Sounds like if it is a Terra the front has been swapped, I'd stay away from it if that's the case, I love Terra's wish there were more around:( something about a convertible truck just appeals to me:D

Strange, I thought France was a country.
Sounds like someone should do some "learning" of their own...
