As I collect parts for my SOA I struggle with the spring choice. Initially I was thinkin' FJ55 springs(tough to find cheap). I kinda avoided the wagoneer spring option(what years/model number would I need) since I have a personal block about allowing jeep stuff on my LC-stupid pride thing i know. Then I saw pics of jimmy76fj40's work in progress sittin TUFF on F150 springs(super cheap at any picnpull.)
Please wiegh in on what you run/ have seen run cheply and successfully. Pics are great. I will be running stock axles & 35's for the time being.
thanks,
Chris

I love my 55 springs. But honestly why not just use the stock springs and see how you like them before you jump into something else? I run the stock springs in the front and 55's in the rear. I did a good chunk of wheeling with the stock springs. Worked really well!!!
And free is always good :D

all I can say is that if you run stock axles with your SOA stay as low as possible.
You do not want ANY excessive lift with the stock axles.
I used 55 springs in the rear and reversed FJ-40 springs in the front.
Stretched out the wheelbase nicely and 1/2 of the springs were easy to find!
I saw some 55 springs available cheap in the F/S section the other day. I really like my 55 springs.

I am running fullsize Bronco springs (slightly heavier than f-150's) all around. They work really well, ride nice and flex awsome. They will give some more lift over stock springs but you can reduce that by recessing the spring and shackle hangers into the frame.
