There are LOTZ of programs on "how to figure your bend" and blahhh blahh blahhh....

This would be more intune with the average "Joe"...
There are Lotz of ways to figure the normal kinda stuff with out all the BS and numbers..... (okay maybe a little BS and numbers):D:D:D

Don't Run Much... I have to say that I love the way that we "get along" now.... It makes for ALOT less type'n..

Do it, I have tubing on the way, a friends JD2 for my use, and one of my own in the near future. The more I learn BEFORE trashing a bunch of tubing, the sooner I get my own bender.

Looking foward to it! Thinking about getting a JD and would love to learn the tricks.
Get Fat Kid to take pictures and notes from start to finsh when you build the next cage. That will make it all liner and we can see your starting and end points and where your measuring to figure the next bend.
Cool cages BTW! Wish I lived on your end of the US. I would love to come watch you and probably pay you to build me one. I have one a bud and I did. It will save my life on a roll but after building one and living with it for a while there is a few things I would like to change to make it easier to live with. The A-piller drives me nuts. Seriously thinking about ripping out the dash (K5) and going to a pre runner style dash so I can get the cage up against the A-Piller.

Tips are nice and will save all of you some mistakes but don't kid yourselves. The only way to make nice bends that fit is to practice......and besides, I always find that I learn best from mistakes

Would be nice to see some shortcuts though:smokin:

Don't get me wrong..... This won't be
"Build a Nascar cage in a day" kinda thing, but if your just starting or have been doing it for awhile, or even thinking about spending the $$ on a bender, it MIGHT help?? :D
Just some tools, tips, and ideas that have help'd me..

I'll base it on a JD2 style bender and how and where to mark, measure, bend, and figure angles and stuff....THE EASY WAY...

A salesman I'm not, but again, this isn't gonna be "how to put me outta buiness 101".....:flipoff2:

Take it from a Salesman then, the guys that do it like you are, are the best salesmen there are. Couldn't tell you the number of people that I've talked OUT of upgrading are buying stuff they want, or at least told them a better way. A little honesty goes a LOOOOONG way.:D
