Starting to look at ways to lighten the tank.
Starting with replacing the rear doors (the small short ones) and the license plate holder/light with a sheet of aluminum.

As usual with cruiser things they weigh alot more than expected.

Those doors/license thingy weigh 24 pounds!! :eek:

...and the aluminum diamond plate that replaced it weighs ~7lbs

It came off the tailgate of a fullsize truck so it has a nice fold at the top.
Also it gives me about 2 more inches of room in the bed area so I can move my box back and put in the TJ seat.
