I'm building a new console for my 88 RRC to replace the completely shot and falling apart plastic one. I think the frame is going to be out of welded aluminum channel and angle w/ flat plate aluminum screwed on w/ panhead allens. Has anyone else built one? I would like to see pics if you have.

Found out that I need some new insultation for the t-case shifter. the rubber gator (boot) is shot and LR wants 50 bones for it. The thick rubber and foam molded insulation was 50 bones also.(now I know where the heat is comming from) I figure I can use Dynomat for the Insulation. Any Ideas as for a shift gator? Anyone have a used one to sell? Do you think I coould use one off another car? F*rd Mustang w/ T-5?

Also thought about incorporating a holster for my Glock w/ a locking lid. :D

For the Transmission shifter, I took out all the plastic crap and lights, saved the black plastic square on the top, and screwed a stainless steel plate over it with a black boot (supposed to be for a manual shifter). It's much more durable and looks REALLY nice!!!

Havent done anything to the T/C yet, but something is in the works since I added the 2" body lift adapter piece...
