Scout8hundred 10-08-2003, 10:48 PM HOLY SHIT!! That thing has more leafs than an F550.
John Tabor 10-09-2003, 10:45 AM whoever wrote that description is a bad speller and ignorant. IH engines arent 4 bolt main bearing caps especially a 392 sv. all cranks are steel.
maybe someone put in a 396 chevy, or writer has spent too much time around chevy folks.
'tilted the transfer case to align driveline angles',- cant possibly line up three angles.

You get an oreo for a good choice. The pic at Ebay of the motor tells me its a stock 392 thats "assumed" to have 4 bolt mains like a 396... :D

John Tabor 10-09-2003, 02:10 PM Hey David, thanks for the oreo[s]!! I didnt see any pics on ebay, maybe I didnt wait long enough to see.
after reading all the blurb, I figured writer very unfamiliar w/IH.!!

Hammerlock 10-16-2003, 08:39 PM Not all Chevy 396's had 4 bolt mains.

But all 392's didn't have them.
Which I believe is the point here.

Nothing but the creative approach would be to use a 1/4 turn ball valve and tie it into the existing heater cable actuator...:D
Same cost more elegant... ;)
