ok, so how much did it cost to do the swap? and does anyone have a complete 1.6 for sale? I now find that the place with the used 1.3L sells them for $600 so I thought I would ask how much to do the 1.6L. Will it be that much more or should I just get the stock motor?

tranny adapters are around $200USD or cheaper

Trailtough sells the EFI harness adapter for something like $350USD I think - check their web site.

engines seem to vary in the $1000-$1600 range depending on year, condition etc.

For my nickels I'd rather have the 16V even if it is twice the cost. It's a good engine.

Buy a rolled sidekick, that is the best way. They go for $600-800 for the hole truck with 16v.

Check your local salvage yards for engines. the one here in vegas charges $150 for any engine it has in stock.
