Finally did something almost worth bragging about.

I installed my new Aussie Locker into my new (used) carrier and mostly disassembled the rear end. Overall, it was a good weekend. The Aussie locker installed just like it was supposed to, and I was able to pop my old carrier out of the d44 with no issues at all. I probably won't get around to finishing the rear end rebuild for a while yet.

Flame on...

I spent the weekend getting burnt on the beach at Waikiki. :D

We did see a '71 Scout II the second night we were here, driving by. Haven't seen another since.

Hardly hardcore...

Plenty of lifted, TSL equipped poser trucks running around though..

We head home tomorrow night.. then it's back to getting the shop finished, and hunting season. :)

Saterday spent 12 hours getting a POS ford with a detroit roadworhty fixed air lines fixed oil leaks (waste of time on a detroit) finished installing diffierent 13 speed tranny got finished found out that some one had done a fine job of converting it to a 9 speed. Some one else that got one of those great deals in the trucking business. I guess that the owner will be really happy to find this out. Moved front axle farther back into corner to late to finish the cut and turn had a few beers and said the hell with it.
Sunday replaced thermostats and water pump on new Cummins ISX They are a piece of junk looked at scout has flat tire sure looks pityful sitting there begging for all the parts that I have gotten for it and never have the time to put in, but am making money for more parts. Need to find someone to do my own work I guess.

Nothing really this weekend except clearing the patch where I park my rig.

Scored a killer work bench from work to fill up space in the garage (since Harvester won't fit)

This coming weekend though I might produce some 4x4 videos...and see what I can break with this:

Helped nwmud part out my Scout.
Saved axles and transfer case for another project and he saved the good sheetmetal for his project.
I have to say that my yard looks better now, but it was kinda sad to see the trackhoe picking the carcass up off the trailer and flinging it into the scrap heap.
They did give me a penny a pound for it, though. That made that running 304 worth about $6 or $7.

Like RawkRash said - stripped a traveler and got back to work on my junk. currently installing the inner fenders in the back. should be done today. moving along - as slow as rust.

nothing to hardcore here

just buttonning up on my sii bodyswap -- all that is left to do is finish the front brakes -& bleed - and it cna be driven--during teh day anyway -- i got a short in my wiring harness and only have brake lights& hazards in the rear anything else blows a fuse:mad:

then it can be moved to a new holding block able to be moved around until end of november it will be brought to a new 2 car garage-- i cna clean up the bodyswap details -- and i can really start to get into the hardcore aspect of the build up-- it will have its own dedicated bay as my daily driver will reside outside unless it needs some maintence done

congrats tom & mike on the recent developments --i am sharing the joy as well -- just got married in march and am making settlement on OUR first house in about a month :D :D

decided to drop in my motor with the automatic behind it till I get all the pieces for a manual swap. dropped the powertrain in sunday, got it running monday, redid the valve cover gasket tuesday, put the upper/lower grill in, tried to figure out why the ingition switch isn't working, and found out that THE FUCKING BLOCK IS CRACKED AT THE FUCKING OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT. I've only known this for about 20 minutes, so I'm not sure if I'm going to cry or not. I might still be in shock. More concerned with figuring out how to fix it than the fact that I'm back to square one. I did drive it around the yard for a minute, though. I'm pissed. That is all.

Purchased A painless wireing kit, Semi-new 33x12.50 Tsl Super swamper Radials (only two trails on them) new Leaf spring bushings, a Mini Spool for the rear, and repainted the dash a Candy apple blue with an undercoat of silver. looks Kool, better then the faded blue anyways:D Also trying to score a Dana 60 with 4:10' swith a detroit for around 150 but still on the wait lol.

Congrats On the kid ! Looks like a healthy boy = ):D
