My friend is buying a used Detroit locker for his Storm Jeep (made in Israel, sort of long YJ) Dana60 rear axle.
How can he tell by looking at the locker that it is the soft locker and not the old Detroit locker?

You cant, but you can get the model number off it and call tractech or who ever makes the detriot.. They will tell you..

Besides I have ran both and there really not that bad.. I ran an older in the rear of cj-5 and it wasnt bad at all..
