hard to tell because of the water being a concave surface like that, and the depth of the animal is unknown.

I'd guess between 907,184 - 1,587,573 carats

I'd guess between 400-800-#'s

I'd say closer to 1500 pounds. I caught one about that size surf fishing last weekend.

I don't know if that is a dolphin or not. The tail looks vertical (shark) instead of horizontal (dolphin)

how do you know it's a dolphin? you will never see a sharks fin above the water like it is showen in movies. Dolphins do that not sharks. You won't see the shark coming.

dood..im not even debating the realness of it to you.

look at the shadows here in this ;ame chop. yellow = shark
pink + yellow= dolphin

now compare the chop to the shadows in the original.

The critter's body is angled with the direction of the wave, as if to surf it, yielding what appears in the pic (to the untrained landlubber's eye :flipoff2: ) to be the vertical tail fin of a shark. :flipoff2:

I was in wilminton jet skiing the surf last weekend, and I saw a few black shadows surfacing. I about crapped myself, imidiate reaction was they were sharks, turned out they were dolphins.... Still a scary situation.
