Tex1978 10-16-2003, 01:22 PM I have a 4.2 carbed in my 90 YJ. The block is cracked and I can't find another one around my area. I have a 4.0 EFI out of a 89 XJ (I think). Can I use the 4.0 Block, 4.0 head, 4.2 intake and exhaust manifold? I do not want to switch to EFI because I hate electronics. Or any combination of the two engines as long as it uses the 4.0 block. Keith Strong 10-16-2003, 01:55 PM The only issues I can think of would be water jackets....the 4.0 head doesnt line up right on the 4.2 block, so I would think the same is in effect for the reverse.
