There was some talk a little while ago of a free tube bending software program. I did a search but came up all dead ends. Has anyone found the software?

Never heard of a "free" one but Mitler Bros. has a pretty good one. $100 bones unless you buy somethin' else or are a good talker. I got it for $90 but I also bought a shoe for $400 ( which I got for $380 ).
Never hurts to ask if you can get it for less.

Advanced Tubular Calculator (http://www.advancedtubular.com/freesoft.htm)

This is the only thing I've found for free. It's just a calculator, but it is pretty handy. Mitler Bros. has some nice software, but it's $100.

I'm somewhat new to the tube bending scene. What would the Mitler Bros. software have on it that the Advanced Tubular Calculator doesn't?

This is a screen cap from the mittler bros software. It really spells out what/where/when. The calculator isn't near as informative.

This is the info from Mittler:
This user friendly program makes it a snap to layout door bars and hoops that fit right the first time. Find the bend locations by the overall dimensions of the hoop or by individual leg and bend measurements.
The program allows you to choose a bend radius ranging from 4 to 8 inches, in 1 inch increments.
Calculates the required tubing length and estimates the weight for any tube.
A comprehensive Windows Help File with sample screen shots shows you how to operate your software.
Print a copy of the screen graphics or a text report with the click of the mouse.
A built-in calibration function allows you to tailor the bend calculations to your particular bender and tubing.
Saves your configuration and displays the 4 most recently used file names for quick retrieval.

The calculator does a good job if you don't mind doing a little more paperwork and less on the computer. It still gives you plenty of info, at least it gives me.

Tin Bender or some of the others could tell you a lot more about the Mittler stuff than I could.
