I am currently running a 2.5L, AX-5, NP231 YJ w/ D44/D60 (5.13)combo and 38.5" SX. I know, I know........... My clutch has just about had it (no slipping, but very jittery when starting from a stop) and I was going to just deal with it until the LT1/700R4/Atlas II went in but I think I may just go ahead and purchase a clutch and install it myself. Question is, what would be the best clutch for my application? I have been looking at the centerforce ones. Which one of them would work well? Who has the best/cheapest prices?

LUK ones are nice and cheap and would work for your application i think. jiMMy

if its just jittery you may jut need your flywheel turned or you have made axle wrap

I agree with Assface, i have always run LUK, i like em

Who carries these LUK clutches or where could I order one from. Want to try to install it before Xmas, so I need it here by then. Also, where could I get my flywheel resurfaced locally?

napa should carry them or be able to order them, and any local machine shop or engine shop could re surface your flywheel! jiMMy

Check your motor mounts. I just changed em in my Heep. Guess it wasn't clutch chatter after all:idea:

The Centerforce Gold I have is a modified LuK disc and pressure plate. I got mine with a club discount from Macromotive. It was cheaper at the time than anything quality I could get locally.

If you're going Centerforce, the Gold is all I would get. It had better feel and hookup than stock, but I know several unhappy CF II and dual-friction owners. Those are intended more for drag/race apps, and tend to hook up too strongly for wheeling use.

your right about the centerforce owners having problems, but even the drag racers think centerforce clutches are garbage. ACT baby.
