I have a 2000 one ton chevy with a Vortec 350, I just filled the tank and got 1.8 miles and it just died. It will crank but wont start. I checked all the fuses they all are ok, any idea what to look at next?

Can you hear the fuel pump working when you turn the key?

I am not calling you an idot, but are you sure that you did not put diesel in it? it is a mistake that I have seen made and can happen to anyone.

This got fixed by the dealer in one hour.
It was the crank position sensor.
